Job Description
Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with Education Director organize College schedule and activities to ensure that students receive a complete and structured education experience.
Ensure that facilities and equipment meet the needs of the instructors and the program
Liaise with Head Gardener, Instructors, Students and Executive Director

Administer student records including:
Applications
Registration
Payments
Progress reports
Attendance records
Transcripts
Document storage
Student Attendance
Graduation
- Administer financial assistance programs including:
Federal and provincial loans
Re-training programs
Bursaries
Recognition programs including Scholarships
- Provide student support including:
Student selection process
Orientation
- Provide classroom support where required
Invigilating of exams
The Pacific Horticulture College seeks an Administrative assistant to provide support for the Education Director. The ideal person would have a background in horticulture or at least a long standing interest in gardening as well as good interpersonal and communication skills, be organized and efficient around office administrative tasks. A sense of humour is also essential.
