Horticultural Library
The Horticulture Centre library, located next to the tearoom, has a collection of over 2500 gardening and landscaping-related books, as well as magazines and trade journals. The books are catalogued using the Library of Congress system and are easy to access by searching the card files under title, author or subject. The library was established for the use of horticulture students and members of the Horticulture Centre; however, non-members are welcome to browse.
Many of the volumes in the collection have been donated by public-minded citizens who have taken pleasure in passing on to others their enjoyment of both books and gardens. As a result, the library contains everything from well-thumbed textbooks to picture books on subjects from arboriculture to zeriscaping.
